our summers are always packed full of fun and family time because it is the only time we are school free and work free so by golly we take advantage of it!

JUNE part 1

Summer finally came and as I type this it is gone, but here is how we enjoyed it! June was packed full, I mean full! Started with slumber nights, then West Palm Beach, summer baseball, and lots and LOTS of fun!

Mimi kept all 4 grankids and one thing they expect every time the sleep there....blueberry pancakes!

Then, Asher and Auntie M came!

Chris was asked to coach the underclassman Team Georgia so off to West Palm Beach we go for a week and a half! It was an experience to say the least...this city is not a family with kids city. We found ways to entertain like fountinas, Chick Fil A, the zoo and of course the beach! So proud of my handsome hubby for working hard and others seeing the difference and ranking him among the top!
We can't go anywhere with out visiting the zoo.....

All in the world is right....

We went to Edisto with Chris' folks, his brother and his wife and 2 kiddos. C's momma, Mimi, is great! She let us come and go as we pleased and played with the kids while we went running, dating, beaching...whatever we wanted!

The only form of entertainment at Edisto is a serpentarium. Well with 3 kid boys and Abby who likes anything the older boys like, that's where we went! It is disgusting haha! A house full of snakes and alligators everywhere you turn! We got there just in time for the allligators to eat lunch....

i know, I KNOW! yes i am still here! i just don't see how yall do it! well with the internet in and out and a young boy that demands ALL of my attention when he is awake and an older boy that just wants to talk to me....ok excuses. we all have them....it's called LIFE, BEING A MOMMY, BEING A WIFE! so once again i am just checking in and saying hello. we are still here. summer has been absolutely crazy busy but it is coming to an end and i think i will crawl into a hole of depression because we have so enjoyed C being around so much! man I love that guy! i promise i will post pics soon so you can see how much these boys have grown! in just 4 months i will have a 4 1/2 yr old and a 2 yr old! oh my how time has flown!
summer has included lots and lots of travelling....west palm beach, edisto beach, myrtle beach with a sweet friend, trips to the zoo, inside adventures because of the crazy heat and lots and lots of fun! I LOVE SUMMER!

Peyton and Manny played soccer through the Family Y this past summer and well let's just say they had fun. After several weeks of practice they caught on to the idea of no hands and running while kicking the ball. I just wanted them to get the hang of working with a team and I think they understood. It was so fun to watch P encourage his teammates as he waited his turn to get on the field. I am one proud mama :o)

Cy-man turned 1! I can't believe a whole year has passed. It is so crazy to think one year ago we were wondering how we could love another boy the way we love Peyton. Well, God has grown our hearts even bigger. One year ago we couldn't wait to meet you and introduce you to the world. We continue to pray you will change the world with your courage and precious smile.

Peyton was in a wedding!
Back in June some friends got married in Commerce and asked P to be in their wedding. It was so fun seeing him dressed up and eat up all the attention. He did such a good job. Chris and I were worried he would freeze up when he saw all the people at the ceremony and not want to walk down the aisle...he surprised us and RAN down the aisle. Brad and Karen were so sweet and so laid back to whole weekend. When we showed up to the rehearsal they had bought Peyton a toy golf set and a Thomas the train bubble maker- they know the way to his heart! So from the start Peyton was wide open! They wanted their ceremony to be as personal and easy as it could be. So, Karen said, "Peyton, I want you to run down the aisle. I want to see how fast you can make it to Mr. Brad!" Well, that's exactly what he did! I sat at the front and Chris stayed in the back, counted 1-2-3 and off he went, straight to Brad. He didn't last long stand up there once he saw me sitting in the front aisle, but I was so proud of him!

Poppy (my dad) lived in Commerce at the time and brought his bday present...Bike helmet to match his bike!

Now for the reception....Peyton broke it down! Karen's sister in law, Lauren was so great with Peyton. She danced with him and he ate up every bit of attention from her. The guests made a circle and whoever would go to the middle and do their jig then leave. Well, P didn't give anyone a chance to do their jig because he didn't want to get out of the circle! The boy loves to dance, just like his mama! Sorry Brad and Karen for Peyton stealing your spotlight.

Golden Apple Award!!

My wonderful husband won the Golden Apple Award for the month of December! I am so proud of him! It is an award that a student has to nominate you. He is such a great teacher and truely loves his students and wants them to succeed in life, beyond the classroom. It was a fun evening, we dressed up, they served food and we got to watch Chris be honored and accept his award! Way to go honey!

On P's actual birthday we let him decide what he wanted to do. We started our at Waffle House of course, that's where he does man time with either Uncle Glenn, daddy, or Papa. We then went to the mall where he wanted to play on the playground. While we were there we did build-a-bear, or dragon :o)

WE ARE BACK!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone still out there?!

The internet has been in and out at home so I have not been able to update this. My sweet sister in law offered to watch Cy and my bro in law has P...so I am at Panera BY MYSELF! AHHH what to do!
There is so so so much to catch up on, so don't expect all of our summer today. We have been everywhere and done so much that it might be best to let the pictures tell the stories and then hopefully I can get back to updating regularly.
Some quick things to catch you up though...
Cy is now a week from being 9 MONTHS! WOW, time flies! He is crawling everywhere and still such a joy! He loves his big brother and no one can make him happy and laugh like P can! He eats EVERYTHING....the boy loves food! He is pulling up on certain things, but has not moved to cruising yet. I might have already said this, but he has been labeled as the pistol of the family. He is very content and easy until he wants something and in an instant he is ticked off. Haha.
Peyton is 3 and learning to communicate his emotions AKA talking back, melt downs, disobedience. We are working through it and I am definitely becoming a better mommy because of it. He is such a tender hearted sweet little boy though. He has such an imagination and I love to encourage it! It is so fun to hear him from the other room making up scenarios with his toys and doing role playing.

School has started back=summer is over and daddy is gone :o( I just have to tell you though, my sweet hubby is the greatest. We are so proud of him for how hard he works to provide for us. We are called to live a life swimming up stream, against the current and he, only by the grace of our God, is pushing along and allowing God to mold and work in his life. He would be so mad if he read this because he does not like any recognition or attention, but honey....We love you and are so proud!
Ok y'all be patient with me. I am slowly but surely getting back.

Chris finally had a day off and we took full advantage of it! P LOVES animals so initially he LOVES the zoo! We went around twice to see certain animals again. We had so much fun! We enjoy those days off daddy!

This is the view I saw most of the day and I just love it, something about those bonding times that I just adore !

Last year he was afraid to get on these statues, but this year he didn't want to get off! He got on all of them.

This was fun, feeding the goats. P made us get several hand fulls of food so he could keep feeding the "hungry" goats.

Then we practiced good hygiene!

I feel like that is all I have been doing lately...catching up! Oh well.

Life has been so busy, but that is how it goes and I am ok with that, but that is why I have not posted anything in a LONG time. A sweet friend reminded me the other day that I have a blog, thanks Shan!

Someone gave us a cute Greenbrier outfit for Cy so I had a little photo session with him in it.

Chris had a game back in March (yes I know March) in Gwinnettt and nearby there was a really cool playground. We had a lot of time to waste until the game started so that's where we went and guess who was able to meet us....AUNTIE M AND ASHER!

There is also an outdoor mall near the field and all along the sidewalk there is lots of statues. Well P wanted his picture taken with all of them!

...it snowed! i was looking through my camera and realized i never posted about the snow days! we had so much fun throwing snowballs, making snow angels and eating snow cream!

Cy man is 4 months today! He continues to be an added joy to our family!

Cy, you eat 6 oz every 4 hours...sleep 10pm til 8 am with 3 naps...you now have a giggle that isn't silent...you love to sleep with your blanket touching your face or over your head...you love outside...you flirt with all the ladies...you watch your daddy from across the room no matter where he is...you love to watch your brother play...you (just like your brother) don't know a stranger.

We go next week for your measurements so I am not sure how long you are or how much you weigh. My guess is 14 lbs and you have to wear size 6 month in some things because you are so long!

We are so thankful for a precious baby that is happy with life and easy going.

Cy, you are such a joyous addition to our family! You are always smiling and jabbering about something. You sleep through the night and eat like a champ! Mommy loves the sleeping part. Your brother loves you and wants to make you happy and hold you when he can. God has blessed us beyond what we could imagine in a second child! Everyone that lays eyes on you describes you and pretty and beautiful and I don't mind because I agree. Anyone that is in the same room as you just adores you and soaks up the contagious smile you give them. You are just like your older brother in that you don't know a stranger, you give them all a smile!

While I was visiting my sister this past weekend we did crafts, crafts and more crafts! Krissy and Nicole you would have been in craft heaven! Here are pictures of things we did and things we screwed up. It was our first time with many of these things, so they arent the best but I sure had fun and wish I had more time to do it. My sister has the best set up for it. She has one whole room well ok 2 whole rooms devoted to sewing and crafts. Her husband made her this huge craft table that is just great!

Brotherly love....nothing else like it!

It is a rough life being an infant....the picture below is Cy falling asleep while he was playing....TOUGH!

We celebrated 5 years in Jan.! I love you more now than when we said 'I do.' I can't believe how far the Lord has brought us in these years. He knew what He was doing when He brought us together that Halloween night years ago. You have loved me through thick and thin, when I am difficult to love you have showed me grace. My heart melts when I watch you love on our boys and I am so proud to stand beside you as you follow our dream of reaching these baseball players. I love you hubby shakes!!

Chris is very thoughtful in the gift giving area....I want quality time and he gives it! He surprised me with dinner at the Partridge in and The Wizard of Oz at the Bell! I love broadway!

Krisal came south for a few weeks and took a few hours out of her time to come visit! She was meeting Cy for the first time and that boy snuggled with her! Sweet Maria and her mommy Nicole came over with her...love them! We are secretly praying Maria and Peyton fall in love YEARS down the road!

So as you can see from the last post that we are potty training, well we went to the store and P got to pick out any under roos he wanted. On the way home I heard him in the back taking out all of them and telling me what pictures was on every pair. By the way, if you know my son at all you know he picked out Lightening McQueen! Anyways, I then heard him laugh, so I looked in the mirror to see that! Oh how I love his humor!

This past weekend, the 2 boys and I went to visit my mom and sister. Chris was out of town and we needed to get out of the house!

My mom bought P these fireman rain boots for V-day. Uncle Joe thought it would be fun to change up his outfit...rolled up sleeves, pants tucked in, Peyton loves him so he was eating it all up! Oh yeah and it was maybe 830 or so at night and Uncle Joe was giving P some chocolate, got love the family!

Cy is now 2 months old! I can not believe how the time has flown by! He is adjusted into a nice routine/schedule now and things are a lot smoother in the Wilkins household. Cy is just a precious little boy. He smiles at us all the time and is now talking. Morning is his happiest time when he has the most to say. He is probably telling me how he is so mad that I made him cry it out through out the night. His sleeping is ok, usually wakes up around430 or 5, last night 630am! Cy is an eater! He eats 5oz every 3 hours, chunky monkey is his nickname around here. During the day, he likes to nap in his swing, NOT his bed, it doesn't bother me where he sleeps as long as he DOES sleep. I love watching Peyton just look at him. Yesterday morning I looked around and saw Cy just grinning at Peyton. It melted my heart. God has blessed us with 2 wonderful boys and we are so thankful!

Life has been a little crazy the past few weeks....closed in room at house (a post to come soon), house on market AGAIN, potty training....oh and the joys of baseball season starting this week. My new single mom friend (her husband coaches also) is Riki.

Yeah, so this is our 3rd week! Peyton has done great, which tells me he is ready! We have had to use many different techniques....m&ms, cookies, toilet targets, big potty/little potty, nakedness, pull-ups, thomas underwear, spankings, peeing outside. He likes to use his little potty and wants to be rewarded, I let him choose his reward. He likes m&ms or cookies. In the beginning he wanted those toilet targets but I think he got frustrated because he couldn't hit them so now he doesn't want anything in his potty. He is now to the point where he will tell me or Chris instead of trying to go every 30 mins, which ends up in a long drawn out stand off with lots of tears and yelling (done by both me and P). We are so proud of our big boy taking the next step of growing up. Next thing I know he will be going off to college :o(

This year a tradition we want to start is celebrating Jesus' birth with a party. Peyton is at an age where is understands and remembers things very well. We want our children to grow up knowing why there is a Christmas and that it is not just about presents and lights. Peyton and I made a cake and we had so much fun. He more licked and asked if he could eat the batter than he did help, but it was still fun!

This year was a very relaxed and low key Christmas. Having a newborn limited our going out of town and actually it was nice!
Chris has been home almost 2 weeks, it has been nice to have extra hands around the house and it is always nice to see his handsome face more!

My family came to us and we had fun! Peyton got lots of gifts and we are now closing in a room so we have a place to keep them, haha. (That is true but for another post) My mom got him this amazing train set that he LOVES! We had to record his reaction when he walked around the corner Christmas morning because we just knew he was going to be so excited. We gave him a set of tools, every boy needs some tools! He also got more cars than he can handle! Cy got some diapers and formula, haha! Well, he needs it!

Today our little Cy is 5 weeks old. His new name is chunky monkey, well Chris changed his name to C(r)y. At his one month check up, Cy weighed in at 10lbs and 21 3/4in!!!!!! He has grown so much. We saw a different doctor because ours was not working. She told us we were feeding him too much, too often. Well, we tried what she said for a day. By night time it was out the window. He was just too hungry on his 'diet' and cried too much. He was a very content baby and then well Chris changed his name.
He is staying awake more now but just isn't content with trying to figure out entertaining himself. We are working on a good schedule and I think that has helped in at night time. He slept 6 hours, going 7 hours between feedings. I was excited because that meant 6 straight hours of sleep for me!
Peyton still loves his little brother. If he doesn't see him in the room he is in he asks where he is and if he can see him.

I can't wait for Christmas! It has been a fun season so far because we have the best gift of all...Cy! Although we have been stuck in the house lately, we have tried to fill our days with fun. We decorated our tree, watched Polar Express (50 times!), had my nephew (Manny) over, one night we even went to Light of the South. Peyton LOVED it! I am amazed at all the work that goes into that place to turn it into a playground of lights. Unfortunately we weren't there long enough to get any pictures, my in-laws are not picture people and I am so maybe next time.
It is very different having a winter baby. Peyton was a May baby and so he was naked most of his days, but Cy has to be bundled up or we just don't leave the house if it is too cold.
I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas! We are trying to figure out what traditions we want to continue or start now that our family is growing. If you have any suggestions, please leave them.

Our littlest man is 2 weeks old today! He has been such an added joy to our house. He is a perfect baby, if there is such a thing! He sleeps all day and all night and only makes a peep to let me know he is hungry. His big brother just adores him and I love watching it. Peyton asks to hold him all the time and wants to help him drink his milk. I didn’t think it was possible to love another as much as I love my first, but somehow God provides the love needed to care for both.

Today was my first day with no help. Last night Cy went 5 hours between feedings! I guess he knew I would need the rest for today. He sometimes eats 4 oz every 2 hours during the day! This boy can eat, but shows no sign of any chubbiness, if that’s a word. It actually was a pretty quiet day. I was actually able to play a lot with Peyton, which he just eats up!

I can’t believe I am a mom of 2 precious boys. Time has flown by way too fast! I am blessed to have an amazing husband who supports me and loves me for who I am and sons that bring delight to our lives!

I know I am a little behind, but as you can imagine, adjusting to taking care of an extra being is taking some time. It has not been hard yet because my mom has been here and she even gave me 2 full nights of sleep! She is a great mom!
For thanksgiving my dad and step mom and my mother and father in law came to our house and brought ALL the yummy food! I didn’t have to do a thing! That’s my kind of entertaining!

39 weeks- it's go time!

Well, Cy came Wednesday at 1039am weighing 7lbs 7oz and 21 inches long! The dr was worried the last few weeks of my pregnancy about how small Cy measuring, well he blew us all away! My belly was smaller with Cy than with Peyton, but Cy was bigger. We had many sweet visitors at the hospital and the care was great!

Cy has been a great baby, eats and sleeps and only cries to let us know he is hungry. I am sure it has a lot to do with our attitude and not being stressed out trying to figure out what to do with him and he doesn't seem to have any stomach issues like his brother did.

Speaking of his brother...Peyton has been so sweet! He talks to 'his baby Cy' as he calls him and loves on him and kisses him. Peyton doesn't seem to dislike him or us, I can see him being more attached to Chris right now, but that is understandable. I am dealing more with the baby so he wants his daddy's attention. Peyton will still come and lay on me and hug me, which I love and am glad he doesn't resent me for bringing this baby home.

Wednesday is the big day!!!!! Around 10 o'clock we will meet our sweet new baby boy! I can't wait! I can't wait to see what he is going to look like, I can't wait to see how much Peyton is going to love him, I can't wait for Cy to meet all our sweet and loving family and friends that has prayed for him since we announced his coming, and oh yeah I can't wait to get my body back! Haha!

I just wanted to share this sweet moment with you all. I went to the doctor last friday and got our last sonogram done. Peyton wanted to hold the picture. He looked at it for a few seconds and he excitedly said, "Mommy, Cy is pretty!" He melted my heart and I just wanted to cry. We started pointing out Cy's ear and nose and chin. Later Peyton wasnted to show Chris Cy's picture. He told Chris the samething and proceded to show him his ear and nose and all the other parts we talked about. Moments like this make me more excited to watch my precious boys love each other and become best friends!

38 weeks!

So....I made it! I only have 2 more days. I have done a terrible job tracking this pregnancy for those of you that I don't see at leats once a week. You have begged for belly shots and I just haven't done it. Honestly, I forgot! Well, and I don't want my big belly displayed every week either...haha.

Chris and I went out for our 'last night' Saturday night. Some friends were turning thirty and they threw themsleves a birthday party. It brought back memories of good ole Gc&SU! yes, Krisal the dancing from GC&SU. It is so funny to think back and realize the things we did, we were so crazy and just didn't give a care who was watching. I of course, did not dance around and bounce Cy but I enjoyed watching and visiting with a sweet friend and sister-in-law! Our husbands I think had the most fun with catching up and talking like girls.

wow...that picture is terrible!

HAHA...that first picture makes me laugh. It looks like I was making P take the picture but I was not holding him against his will. I know the date says months ago but did anyone else ever do this when you were little on a rainy day. It was one of those days that rained ALL day long for a couple of days so we camped out inside. Peyton LOVED it!

He is a big boy now! Peyton has been in a big boy bed for a few months now and he loves it! He calls it his Thomas bed because of the bedding. We took him to the store and let him pick out whatever bedding he wanted and I think that was the trick for him. We needed the crib for Cy so we wanted to give Peyton as much time as possible to get rid of his attachment to it before he saw his little brother using it.

We went to Greenwood! Peyton and I took a day trip up to Greenwood, which is only about an hour from here, to visit a sweet friend from college. Peyton instantly bonded with her and I never doubted he would. She has such a sweet loving demeanor. I have really missed seeing her so I was glad we finally found a day to visit. She is living up there while her husband finishes his fellowship/residency whatever that lingo is for med school. I keeping hoping she is going to tell me that when he is done they are moving back to Augusta, but we shall see.

CRAFTY!

So I was asking a friend who is the craft queen what I should make for a little girl that was turning two and she gave me tons of great ideas! I finally decided on this!

I had so much fun making it and I had a great helper and model. Here are the steps in pictures...

Ok so the model didn't really care to be in it and I hope his daddy doesn't see this but he is about the same size as the little girl we were giving it to. I will have to get a picture of her in it and post it. It sure was fun making girlie things! Happy Birthday Greer! Hope you liked your tutu!

Another crafty project is something for baby Cy's room. His room doesn't have much of a theme, just colors. I have seen the idea of framing scrapbook paper and also monogramming in frames but I don't remember specifically which blog I have seen it. It seems to be the 'thing' to decorate with right now. I was so excited about making this that I forgot to get a before picture of the old frame I used. Chris picked it up from the art dept at school. I spray painted and them just added some fun scrap booking paper and cut out a W. I don't really like how plain it look with one random black bold W but once Cy gets here I am going to add pictures of him and our family. Here is the project so far and some more pictures of the sweet little boys room.

This is something my sister gave me and I LOVE it! She is also very crafty!

So Cy's room is all ready for him to use it! Only 2 more weeks until he arrives!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this time of the year! I love pumpkin candles, hot apple cider and pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks, cool weather, fall decorations, pumpkin cheesecake, the changing of leaves and so much more! I can't wait to start baking yummy pumpkin flavored treats. AND this year our newest little addition will be arriving during the fall, so I will now added his birthday to my list of fall things! I love fall festivals and picking out and carving pumpkins OH and don't forget roasting the pumpkin seeds!

I have been such a slacker with keeping up with this. We have been trying to adjust back into the school and football routine, but for some reason it has been harder this go around. Maybe because I am pregnant and EMOTIONAL! This pregnancy has by far been so much easier, but man I have been so much more sensitive. My feelings are getting hurt, I am stressing about little things and wanting to cry way too much! My sweet husband has been so good and trying to help me remember it is only for a few more months. He has been very patient and understanding. I wish that they could understand what it is like to carry around extra weight, which causes your back to hurt and experience the crazy roller coaster emotions ride.
Today P and I took lunch to Chris at school. I love watching Chris show off our son, it is so sweet how proud he is to have Peyton. We had to walk around to say hey to everyone. I just walked behind and just thought about how blessed I am to have a wonderful husband that wants to be involved and show the world his emotions for his family. I can't wait until the next baby boy is born and see how C shows him off to the world. Oh by the way, did I tell you all his name yet? Well the baby #2 will be called Cy Harper.

Back to School, Back to School....

Today is the first day of school...sigh. It means summer is over and we are stuck in town. I have been used to seeing my hubby everyday for longer than an hour and now I have to get used to him waking me up when he gets home. On the other hand, I am excited school is starting back up. C is teaching a new class this year and he is excited about it....ECONOMICS. I didnt like econ, but he loves it! I am glad to be more on a set schedule and I always enjoy meeting his teacher friends. C loves to be in the school system and I am so proud of him for the responsibility he takes on. We have a few other friends that are teachers and it is a tough job. You can be such a great influence if you choose to use your platform for it. We pray that God would allow you all to make a difference in the lives of kids that are in such a crucial time in the life.

So, right now I am sitting at Panera with no where to be and no mess to clean and no one to tend to! Peyton went to his Nana's in Athens this week. We pick him up Sunday and boy am I excited! I know I know. I titled this freedom but I sure miss that rascal! It has been nice to get rest and go on a few dates with my handsome hubby, but I am ready for the noise and mess and joy to come back! Chris is out playing golf with some guys for a buddy's birthday and I am relaxing with no agenda.
A word on the growing belly....I am 22 weeks and UNCOMFORTABLE! I told C last night that I feel like this one is way more uncomfortable than P. I still have 17 more weeks to go and the no sleep has set in hardcore! BUT this pregnancy has been so easy, no complications and we are so very thankful! We just need to agree on a name for this new munchkin. We have a LONG list, but just cant quite pin one yet.
The summer is coming to an end very quickly, which means.....Chris is in school, our house is coming off the market, football games (college and high school) and no more traveling. The summer has flown by and I am sad. It has been an enjoyable one, but I am not ready for it to end. I have really loved seeing my sweet husband a lot more.
Well I think I am going to go across the way and look at baby stuff. You know, it never gets old!

......It's a boy! We are having another boy! I am so excited. Peyton went with us for the appt and it was so sweet to watch him look at the screen and talk about his baby brother. He is going to be such a great big brother. He talks to the baby when we mention him and he asks what he is doing.

I am surrounded by sweet boys and I can't wait to add this one to the household! I know I will be taken care of by my men.

We have a few names we are sitting on, Harper being the middle name after my grandaddy.

I am now 21 weeks and feeling good, a little uncomfortable because he is sitting so low, but this pregnancy has been so easy.

Thank you Lord for keeping us safe so far!

FCA CAMP!!

We went down to St. Simons a couple of weeks ago for FCA coaches/family camp and it was wonderful! We met many new fun friends from all over the state and got hit with the Bible from some great speaking.

Our friends, the Massey's, have been trying for a couple of years now to get us down there and this year God pulled through with providing our finances to go. I am so thankful they invested the time to convince us, knowing we NEEDED to be there. Chris was able to meet with like minded men who go through the same struggles coaching and I was able to hear from other coaches wives. We all brainstormed how we can support or sweet husbands more and help them instead of complain how they are gone too much.

We had free time everyday so we took advantage of it. One day we hit the beach and Peyton was so excited to go, but didn't love the water too much. Another day we went to the pool and he just wanted us to hold him the whole time instead of sit in his float. We also went to the pier where they have a yummy ice cream shop and a huge play area....I think this was his favorite free time day!

I wish this was a bigger picture because it is so cute. Gehrig, Greer and Peyton are checking out the river behind our hotel.

I enjoyed our date night very much! Us and three other couples went to this oh so yummy place called Barbara Jean's and ate the best crab cakes I have ever put in my mouth! But while we were out there was a terrible storm that knocked the power out at camp so we had to pick up the kiddos early. We still had fun, Peyton jumped around in the puddles!

We were sad to leave, but we are refreshed for the next year and ready to serve in the manner God asks! Count us in next year and for the years to come Massey's!

We leave for the beach in 11days!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait! I have been wanting to see the sand and waves for so long!
Our sweet friends, the Massey's, talked us into going to the FCA camp at St. Simons. We have had to trust God to provide the finances and He has come through almost 100%. I can't wait to see what fun we are going to have and the other coaches we are going to meet from around the state.
With me being 19 weeks prego at that time I know I am going to look like a beached whale but I DON'T CARE! I love the beach! I think Peyton is going to have a blast too and my sweet husband is going to be connected with like minded coaches and get refueled for the new school year.

So I hate our dog! Anyone want a boxer, 8 mo old? Haha, my husband would kill me...good thing he doesn't ever read this! The dog is so hyper and so annoying....he doesn't listen, EVER! We just don't have time for a dog right now. It is supposed to be Chris' dog but I end up doing stuff for it.
Oh well, this was just a venting post.

Summer Time!

This means daddy is home a whole lot more! We still have summer baeball to get through but I don't mind the schedule...it gets us out in the sun on the weekends. With family time comes trips to the lake! Yesterday we met some friends out at the lake and had a blast! I was a little nervous about how Peyton would like it, but as you can see in the picture below....he LOVED IT!

We had fun playing on the beach, relaxing in the water and grilling out. It was a nice way to get prepared for the week to come.

This weekend I spent the day with five of my favorite people, we had our 1st annual discipleship reunion. We all met in college and really experienced life together. It has been years since we have all been in the same room with no agenda other than to visit. It was so refreshing and relaxing! We made all the foods we used to eat when we would get together and watched homemade videos that will never be shown to ANYONE outside our circle (right ladies!) and caught up on life. There has been graduations, weddings, births and moves to talk about. We rummaged through old pictures and laughed about how we thought life was so rough back then.

I love you ladies and am thankful to our Father for placing you each in my life. I can't imagine the past 7 or so years without you! It is that type of friendship that you could not talk for months but pick right where you left off with no awkwardness or no skip. We have coped with heartache, laughed off embarrassment, battled through sin and experienced love and joy that can only come from Christ.

I am already looking forward to next year!

I know a few of you have been asking when I am going to talk abotu Peyton's party so here ya go......

We had so much fun watching him 'work the crowd'. He enjoyed running around with his friends and making us all laugh. He is loved by so many and we are thankful for everyone's help. You all are so sweet in doing things that were not even asked of you....taking pictures, grilling, cleaning up. We love you all!

The theme was trains and they were everywhere from the cake to the favors to Peyton's shirt.

So many family and friends gave him some great gifts! He got books, clothes, blocks, games, train whistle and hat, greenbrier batting helmet and tee, braves pillow and lots more fun things!

One of Peyton's sweet girlfriends, Maria helped open presents and another girlfriend, Greer was very into the dinosaur someone gave him. I have tried about fifty times to download pictures of the two precious girls but my internet keeps going down.

My dear friend Riki took TONS of pictures and as soon as I figure out to download numerous pictures in a sensible way you can see them.

I can't believe our little boy is now 2! These past two years have been some of the most fun and raising Peyton has been such a joy from the Lord!

We love you Peyton! You make me and your daddy proud!

Gosh, there has been so much going on lately. Why with pretty weather comes busy schedules? Peyton turns 2 next Friday and we are having his party this Sunday. It is ALL about trains! I can't wait to post pictures of his cake I am making. Well, I will only post them if it turns out good.
We are still trying to get someone to put our house on the market. A lot has happened with that situation. I have become a little discouraged, but I have to remember His timing is prefect and His plan is better than anything I could do myself.
This is the last week of regular season baseball games! This means I will see my hubby more!
I think I have the sweetest boy in the whole wide world. He is into this thing that he wants to hug all the time. Yesterday we were driving in the car and just started saying, "Hug, hug!" so I stuck my hand back there and hugged my hand. He is such a mess but he is starting to show affection on his own and I just love it! I eat him up for it!

This morning Peyton and I were in the car on the way to the sitter and I yawned BIG time. My sweet little boy in this sweet concerned voice said, "mommy tired?" This is the second time he has done that and I just LOVE it! He is turning into such a big boy now. We can have 'conversations' now where I can understand most of what he is saying. He can answer questions you ask him. It is crazy how fast they grow. Peyton will be 2 in 2 weeks! AHHH! Two nights ago the three of us were just hanging out on our and he was just being so funny. He was making me laugh so hard. His new thing right now is "mommy daddy bed". He likes to get on our bed and roll around and jump and wrestle and tickle and just be silly. I love those moments! It kinda makes me sad to think these times of the 3 of us will soon no longer be but it makes me happy to know the other side of that...soon it will be the 4 of us! AHH!

Cleaning

So, we are trying to finish up the last things to put our house officially on the market. It has been so hard because when you try to do one thing you find another that needs to be fixed. I am trying to deep clean and make everything look fresh. Does anyone have any suggestion on how to clean/bleach linoleum floors? Ours have started to look dingy in the well travelled areas.

So I know it has been a while since I last updated and A LOT has been happening so I will try to sum it all up....

Last week was Master's Week and I just love this week. There are people everywhere from all over the world, Chris has the week off from school, I have the week off from work, and we usually get free tickets to go watch the tournament. This year we went on Sunday and it was the prettiest day of the whole week. I had a nice date day with my sweet hubby. Papa kept Peyton while Mimi sat up at her parking lot probably wishing she was playing. We walked a lot and sat and followed Tiger around the course and just had a good time visiting with each other.
Also during that week we were able to get a lot of stuff done around our house. We are trying to get it ready to put on the market so we can move closer to Chris' school. It was so nice to have Chris home to do all the handy work and finish up stuff I couldn't do.

Another event that happened last week was.....we went to the dr to confirm there will be another little Wilkins running around coming Thanksgiving! We are eight weeks along and very excited! Feeling a little yucky, but overall feeling good!

We had many Easter activities within the past few weeks. One egg hunt at Wesley with the Massey's. It was rained out so they moved it to the gym. You don't quite get the same effect, but Peyton had fun picking up the eggs and opening them to find the treat inside. I got his picture with the Easter bunny and I just knew it was going to be a rough experience, but he LOVED it! He and the Massey kids all wanted to go back for a second time right before we left. We had planned on going to another hunt that they do out in Columbia County, but unfortunately Peyton was sick with the croup. Poor baby was sick! He did not feel good. And he gave the rest of the house the crud.

Lots more has been going on, but I will save it for another day. It has been raining for 2 days and now the sun is out! Back outside for walks, swings, slides and digging!

Once I figure out another way to post pictures without them all showing up going down from here I will let you see our many adventures. Thanks for wanting to keep up with our sweet little family!

Rain, Rain, GO AWAY!

It has been raining for way too long! Baseball games have been cancelled, which normally would be a good thing, but not when the rescheduled games are on Saturdays....YUCK!
Next week is Master's week! I can't wait! They city is crazy and full of people from all over the world. We have met some nice people over the years.
My mom is coming in town today and I am so excited! We are taking Peyton to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse LIVE Tour on Friday in Aiken! I think he is going to love it. I might be more excited than he is going to be but I know he will love it.
Not much has been going on with us, just the same old routine of game after game. One cute thing I have to share about Peyton is his new game. Forever we have done the animal sounds game well now he has turned it on us...he now asks us "what doessssss CHICKEN?" It is the cutest thing! He is just so fun. He is so funny and so full of stories! I can't wait for him to get a sibling and see how he entertains him/her.

I have a couple of friends that do AMAZING work as photographers. Haley does such a great job at marketing herself. Check her site out and see her new fun idea for expanding her network! Haley has done a couple of shoots for us and she is gifted! I can't wait to get another time with her. Family photos are just a treasure for us and I enjoy going back and looking to see how much we have changed. She does a great job with capturing moments and expressions. I will post a few of our photos soon. Thanks Haley! I pray you continue to give Him the glory for such a great gift he has blessed you with!
Kim is the other friend that does great work. We have never had the opportunity to see her in action, but her blog displays her great gift. Our husbands went to high school and college together and now they are back in Augusta and we are so glad! She has a precious little 3 year old that loves to get his picture taken.

Spring is in the AIR!

I love Spring! Fall is my favorite season but Spring comes in a close tie. Spring means baseball games, warm weather, playing outside without a jacket, ice cream, Summer is near, school is almost out, Masters week=Spring break....
I have enjoyed being at baseball games without 4 layers and bundled up in blankets. Peyton is a happier child without freezing cold hands and snot running down his poor little face.
I did yard work Sunday while my exhausted child look a 4 hour nap! It felt so good to be out in the sunshine. I hope I didn't blind any of our neighbors with my pale white skin. We are trying to get curb appeal with selling our house, but on a very cheap budget!
So baseball is our life right now! I have mentioned it now maybe 3 times within this short post already. Our friend, Riki, calls this time March Madness. Her husband also coaches so we live this season together. There are an average of 3 games a week, some out of town near Atlanta. It has been a fun season with Chris being at a new school. There are some great families out there and I look forward to getting to know them even more. God is doing amazing things out there. I am encouraged as the Lord uses Chris in ways that bring God glory. One player accepted Christ a few weeks ago and Chris has been able to encourage other players with scripture. I love my husband and pray he will continue to submit to God's plan/will for his life. The time Peyton and I spend missing him is worth it when he comes home with stories of our answered prayers. I am ready for Spring Break though! Several days in a row that I get to see him without basbeall or work!

Cupcaking and Dating!

ok so my friend has me obsessed with cupcakes! she shared her desire with me about wanting to open a cupcake shop. how fun would that be?! i now find myself looking at blogs about cupcakes and looking online for decorating ideas. i have several of these blogs on the right over there listed. i can't wait to make peyton's birthday cupcakes. i am thinking about maybe a train cupcake cake or even animals or a firetruck....oh gosh too many fun ideas to narrow down. sprinkles, here we come nicole!
another friend (i just have so many) told me about this date experiment. you gotta try it. i t sounds like such a great idea! dating your husband!? who would have thunk it? just kidding. it is so essential to date your spouse. he/she needs to know you still get butterflies and you want to be around them. at least that is how i am. ok gushy wushy....i love my husband! he is amazing. he works so hard to provide for our family and i just admire him. he loves me and cherishes me and tells me. i could love about him more and more, but i know you are probably gagging right now. so i will save you. anyways, i am hoping to try to sugestion riki, thanks!!

Selling of a House

So, we have been fixing up our house and doing all that jazz that is necessary before you put your house on the market and it is about to exhaust me. Anyone want to buy a cute well kept home? In case you didn't know, we are trying to move closer to Chris' work...Greenbrier High School. He is on the road an hour or so too long.
I have taken some of my friend's fun craft ideas to try and spruce up the empty walls. We shall see if all the extra effort pays off.
It has been raining for like 50 days and this dreary weather has got me dreary. Cold and wet...I don't do. I am ready for the sunshine to come back out! Everything is just better with the sunshine...I am happier and more motivated, Peyton is happier because he can go play, Chris' team can practice outside, flowers bloom, birds tweet (as P would say). AND poeple are more interested in buying homes! Ok, can you tell I am ready for Spring to get here?

Starting Over!

We are going to try this again! I know it has been about 5 months since I last posted on P's blog, but I am going to start over with a blog about the whole family. I keep up with several of your blogs and love the craft and cooking advice and just the short posts about your day. No, I am not going to promise to write everyday or even every other day, but we will shoot for once a month :o)
Have fun reading my thoughts, our quirks, and enjoy our pictures! We are just a normal family trying to walk this journey and submitting to God's will for our lives.

I am hoping to take time to figure out how to post more pictures and just make it more attractive to look at and follow. i am not computer savvy, so it will be interesting.
